Titanic Projects
Year 3 were busy last half term making some more fantastic 'Family learning Projects'. This time we focused on Titanic as we learnt about it's sinking during our Treasure topic. Again, the projects were of an excellent standard and all at school were very impressed. Have a look at some of the projects made by 3R.

3R's Creative Day
On our second Creative Day, 3R made gingerbread biscuits and gingerbread garlands to get us in the Christmas spirit!
Year 3 have been busy creating their Family Learning Projects. The first one was about the Ancient Egyptians. All of the teachers and children at school have been very impressed by the quality of the projects-they look fantastic and are packed with information about this fascinating time in world history. Have a look at some of the projects created by 3R.

Rush Green at the Olympics and Paralympics
We were lucky enough to be given tickets to the Women's Basketball, Women's Football and Paralympic Athletics. All the children and staff that went had an amazing time at the Olympic Park. Thank you Miss Carman for organising it all.
At the Paralympics we saw javelin, running and long
jump. My favourite part of it was the
javelin. When we got on the train we were the only ones talking. The Paralympics were amazing. I wish the Paralympics and Olympics could
happen every year.

On Friday we went to watch the Paralympic Athletics. We saw so many exciting events including,
long-jump, javelin, discus, 100m, 200m and 400m. It was amazing how talented all the athletes
were. I really enjoyed watching the long
jump as the athletes were blind and had to be told when to jump by their guide
(who clapped to tell the athlete how close she was to the sandpit). Rachel, Alicia, Claudia and Phoebe were very
enthusiastic when cheering for the athletes and represented the school
extremely well.

We had a fantastic time on Friday at the Olympic
Stadium. The atmosphere in the stadium
was amazing and our seats were so close to the Olympic flame we could feel the
heat from it. The best part was seeing
Team GB win gold in the women’s discus.
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I will never forget it.
